Car!

Well, we finally have a car. Its a turquoise Fiat Cinquecento 1993/94, so pretty old and very small, but good for the price. It may only have a 900 engine, but it is still pretty zippy! A mechanic friend recommended it, so we are happy to trust his judgement. It has a year's MOT (roadworthiness) certificate and 3 months of tax, which is good. We will probably drive it for a year or two (providing it passes its next MOT without costly repairs) and then upgrade to something a little newer, though not necessarily larger. Parking around here is a nightmare - after about 6.30pm people end up parking on double yellow lines because there is just no space anywhere else! I won't even go into the details of the beaurocracy we have to go through just to get a permit to park outside our home...

All thats needed now is for me to sort out my licence so I can legally drive in the UK!
